Abba-Imma Qigong: An Embodied Lord’s Prayer
August 17, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm| $25 – $40.
Speaking in chorus with the 2,000-year-old Lord’s Prayer and moving in the gentle, flowing harmony of the ancient Chinese Medicine practice of Qigong, Abba-Imma Qigong blends Taoist and Judeo-Christian wisdom and compassion. Abba-Imma Qigong evolved to accompany Jesus’ “Our Father” prayer, reexamined by Rev. Steve Harms (Peace Lutheran Church, Danville) to be more in alignment with the original intention and to express more of a balance between masculine and feminine energies. This embodied prayer invokes and honors Abba-Imma, the Father-Mother God, and engages your body, mind, and spirit in Qigong movement to enhance your intimacy with the Divine beyond and within. Dates: Aug 17, 24, and 31, 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Come to one or all three. Preregistration Required. Donations go to RAICES (Refugee & Immigrant Center for Education & Legal Services).
Instructors: Rev. Steve Harms, Kaleo & Elise Ching
