An Invitation to Faith Leaders to Day of Prayer and Reflection for Veterans

Dear Faith Leader,

We invite you to participate in a celebration and Nationwide Day of Interfaith Prayer for our Nation’s Veterans.  The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Robert Willkie has designated November 1, 2018 as the “First Annual Day of Prayer and Reflection for Veteran’s”. The theme for this year is “Prayers of Healing for our Veterans” with a focus on the VA’s commitment to care the Veterans’ whole needs including their family needs.

We hope you will join us for this special time of coming together as community to pray for our veterans, their families and those still serving.

We will gather together as faith leaders at 9 am with light refreshments,  offer our prayers in the community with our wounded and healing veterans at 10 am, (outdoors, weather permitting), then meet and greet some veterans and offer a tour of the campus at 10:30 am.

Please let us know if you will be able to attend and if you are willing to offer prayer. If you are willing to offer prayer, please send the written prayer from your faith tradition (crediting the author) so that we can put together an order of service.
