In honor of International Women’s Day, the City of Richmond will host its 10th Annual Sisters in Solidarity celebration on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10am to 2pm.
All are invited to recognize inspirational women and to #beboldforchange by participating in the celebration to affirm our shared values of peace, justice, equity, inclusion, caring for future generations and the community. Celebrate the women in your life who have been an inspiration by bringing them to the event in person or in your heart.

The day will begin with a rally on the steps of City Hall at 10am, followed by a march to LaVonya Dejean Middle School where we will enjoy entertainment, lunch, roundtable discussions, poetry and inspirational speakers.

The event keynote speaker is  Cynthia Peterson, Executive Director of Community Violence Solutions. Ms. Peterson is a tireless West County advocate for eliminating all forms of violence against women. Don’t miss this wonderful event and opportunity to Be Bold for Change!
Now if you are fired up too, spread the word.  Let’s support this bold city and Sisters in Solidarity event.  They need about five more volunteers to help keep the march along the sidewalks and obeying traffic laws.  If you are able to help, please contact:
I hope to see you there!!
