Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center will present the documentary movie “The Hunting Ground” (103 minutes) is an award-winning exposé which tackles the disturbing epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses and school officials’ efforts to cover up the crimes.

It will be shown in its entirety.  Knowledge on the topic will be supplemented by Keynote Speaker: Aarefah Mosavi, Peace and Conflict Studies major at UC Berkeley and RAINN Speakers Bureau.*    Mosavi is currently in legal proceedings against Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) for their mishandling of her complaint against another student/co-worker. Her goal is to bring  awareness to the issue of rape and sexual assault on college campuses and empower survivors.  In addition, 2 other students and activists will share their perspectives on building the movement to stop rape and sexual assault on a local and national level.
