The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano’s Advocacy Team is currently accepting applications for its 2021 Speaker Series session.

This year’s cohort will once again be virtual, meeting on Wednesdays beginning March 31st and ending with graduation on May 19th for a total of 8 two-hour sessions. Participants will receive a $25 grocery gift card for each class attended, and a $100 Visa gift card upon graduation.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • An interest in ending hunger/poverty and/or lived experience in hunger or poverty
  • An interest in learning how to improve their public speaking skills
  • An interest in learning about advocacy, California government process and/or the bill/laws process
