Please join Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church and the Mt. Diablo Peace Center as they offer a unique screening and panel discussion on the film “My Dad, Stephanie”.  This film follows 71-year-old Phil, just a “regular” dad who finally revealed in 2013 to family and friends that she is transgender, a secret she had kept hidden all of her life. When filming began in 2013, most people did not understand what it meant to be transgender. Taken by surprise, her daughter and son-in-law immediately began filming, capturing Stephanie’s life as a man, her transition, and their reactions over the next five years. “My Dad, Stephanie” follows the joy, heartache, and humor of Stephanie’s transition from her life as a man to living full-time as a woman.
