Ellen Brotsky was moved to become active with Jewish Voice for Peace in response to Israel’s 2014 bombing and ground campaign in Gaza (Operation Protective Edge) which resulted in the deaths of Palestinians, over 70% of them civilians. She has been a member of the 2,076 JVP-Bay Area Chapter Coordinating Committee since then, working in support of Palestinian human rights and freedom.
Rev. Dr. John Anderson recently retired after serving 28 years at St. John’s Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. He is the Co-Moderator of the Israel Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Rev. Anderson went to Gaza, most recently, in October of 2019 with a group of Episcopalian clergy.
