The East Bay Community Foundation invites you to attend: Lunch & Learn Series – “Supporting Immigrant Communities in Uncertain Times”

Wednesday, March 29th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Lunch provided

East Bay Community Foundation Conference Center

353 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza
Oakland, CA 94612

As a region renowned for tolerance and inclusion, the East Bay is home to a vibrant, diverse population. The foreign-born populations of Alameda and Contra Costa counties are 31% and 24%, and nearly half of all kids in Contra Costa County have immigrant parents. New federal administration guidelines pose a significant threat to immigrants’ rights, heightening fears of dividing families and in the process, dismantling decades of social progress.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage with other donors and community leaders who share your concerns
  • Hear personal accounts of immigrants’ access to education and employment opportunities
  • Understand the impact of national policies on immigrant communities in the East Bay
  • Learn how you can help

Panelists Include:

EBCF shares concerns about the damaging impact of new federal policies on our local communities. Preserving our values as a region requires a strong network of engaged community leaders. We hope you’ll join us for this special luncheon and learn how you can lend support. It promises to be an informed and inspired event.

EBCF is the leading voice on the issues impacting residents of the East Bay.  The EBCF Lunch & Learn series is an opportunity for donors and subject matter experts to come together for an in-depth look at the critical issues affecting the health and well-being of the East Bay community.
