“Beatitude” – the word means “blessing,” but also “happiness.” Jesus came to bring us both, and the Beatitudes show us how to receive them. If you already have as much happiness in your life as you can manage, then you will be blessed with more.
Fr. Pat will also include reflections on the Beatitudes from Pope Francis’ third apostolic exhortation, titled Gaudete et Exsultate (Rejoice and Be Glad).
