The Nagorno-Karabakh Dilemma

The Commonwealth Club’s member-led Middle East Forum presents this free, virtual program. The distinguished panel will discuss he history of the conflicts  between Armenia and Azerbaijan to gain control of the Nagorno-Karabakh, a  territory within Azerbaijan, mostly populated by Armenians. The influence that Russia, Turkey America , Iran etc. have in the dispute and the specter of a regional war will also be discussed. The panelists are:  Jason Rezaian, journalist and author of My 541 Days in an Iranian Prison; Lara Setrakian, CEO, News Deeply and based in Armenia; Zaur Shiriyev, Analyst, International Crisis Group, based in Azerbijan.  The moderator is Eddy Simonian, Vice Chair of the Middle East Forum.
