_{VOLUNTEERISM:  CONTRA COSTA NEEDS YOU!}

_{Step up and work with others to address many of Contra Costa communities’ pressing needs.  On Thursday, April 22 at 4 p.m., a Zoom presentation by a panel of experts will describe the issues and how several organizations engage volunteers to deliver services.} 

_{“Volunteerism: Contra Costa Needs You” will be presented by the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley and the Contra Costa County Library. Kristin Connelly, president of the East Bay Leadership Council, will moderate the Zoom presentation.}

_{During the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers have been essential in helping our neighbors distribute and receive food and provide support and essential services.  Post-COVID-19, volunteers will be critical to building trust, strengthening neighborhoods, advancing climate justice and securing an equitable social safety net for everyone. The panel discussion will highlight volunteer opportunities and organizations that connect individuals with groups seeking volunteers to rebuild our communities and support our neighbors.}
