Nurturing the Beloved Community

Next Retreat is on Sunday, February 6th from 3-6 pmLed by Dr. Ejaz Naqvi, former member of the I4C Gov. Board and past President at the Islamic Center of Zahra, Pleasanton.  This month we will explore Islamic conceptions of the Beloved Community, and the experience of Malcolm X on his Hajj. 

Readings will be shared before the retreat.

This retreat will explore Islamic conceptions of the Beloved Community and creating an anti-racist faith communities, and the relationship of Malcolm X with Dr. King and Howard Thurman.

All are invited to participate. Handouts are included in the fee. A bibliography will be available at the event for further study. See the back side of this flyer for future leaders and themes. (We hope to be able to be back at San Damiano Retreat Center for the May 1st and Oct 2nd retreats.)
