Parables: Surprised by Grace (4 week on-line series)

This is an on-line event sponsored by San Damiano Retreat.

Sr. Patricia Bruno OP will be the facilitator and presenter for this session.  She is truly wise and delightful. Sr. Patricia was the Promoter of Justice for her congregation for many years and continues to be involved in the Northern California Community Loan Fund and the Center for Justice and Accountability: an international human rights organization.

Daily actions are more complex than they at first seem because hidden within them are the secrets of the reign of God. The parables are Wisdom sayings that question our usual responses. They invite us to ponder what God is saying to us at this time of our lives and how we might respond.

During this 4-week series, you will be invited to recognize and share parables from your own life and witness.The series begins the week of May 24. Each week has two distinct parts: 1) a recorded 45 – 60 minute presentation to watch on your own, and 2) a time to gather via zoom with Sister Patricia and 10 participants to reflect on how parables shape our lives.
