Peaceful Faith Community Walk in Downtown Concord

Hello! My name is Apollo and I am a pastor over at the Bay Church in Concord. We are planning a peaceful prayer walk from Mt. Diablo School District to Concord City Hall next Thursday, June 11 at 1pm. We have already had a conversation with Concord PD this week to let them know. A couple officers will actually be praying right alongside us. Social distancing norms like facemasks and 6ft apart will be practiced to the best of our ability. We will be avoiding retail spots on the path and focusing on prayer as we walk. Would love it if some of your leaders joined us on the frontlines. We will be praying for justice, unity, and healing.

We would love for this to be a church wide thing we promote to people to get involved. And when I say church wide I mean the entire faith community, not just my church. We would love to walk with you and ask that you reach out to leaders in your faith community to come be a part of this. There will be multiple churches involved with us and it will not be branded as a Bay Church event, it will fully be a larger faith community prayer walk and we ask you to join us. We understand if times are too difficult right now and you’d rather pray from a distance ❤️Nonetheless would love your support 🙏🏽
