Congregation B’nai Shalom’s Civil Rights Study Group will be holding a program to discuss how racial inequities in the criminal justice system impact Communities of Color and how Jewish and other faith values align with various reform proposals, including alternatives to mass incarceration, and can help alleviate years of discrimination in the administration of our criminal justice system. Speakers will include Rabbi Daniel Stein, who will provide a Jewish perspective and will introduce Rev. Deborah Lee, Executive Director of the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI), and Rev. Dr. Larry Foy, IM4HI’s Los Angeles Regional Organizer.
