The Letter

What would you do if you received a letter from Pope Francis inviting you to come to the Vatican to meet with him to discuss how climate change is affecting you and how we might together care for planet earth, our common home?

The movie, “The Letter” is about just such a meeting. In 2022, Pope Francis met with a small group of people, from under-represented communities around the world and from different faith traditions, at the Vatican where they discussed the imminent dangers to our environment.

The result of this meeting was an 81 minute documentary titled “The Letter”. Visually stunning and at once heart warming and heart rending, it’s not possible to see this film and not be moved.

Please join us for a viewing of “The Letter” at 6:15 P.M. on 14 October 2023 in the Grand Hall of St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 3445 Hamlin Rd., Lafayette.
